Whether you’re on an active holiday, hiking holiday, or a summer trip with kids, Wagrain offers countless activities. Here are some of our favorites:
Wasserwelt: This large water park in Wagrain is perfect for all ages. There are baby pools for the youngest visitors, 950 m² outdoor pools with 4 slides, a large lawn for relaxing and sunbathing, and rental options for parasols and sunbeds. The park also has a kiosk offering snacks, sodas, ice cream, and coffee. Don’t forget your guest card, swimwear, towel, and sunscreen!
Wagrainis Grafenberg + KUHbidu
Two must-visit summer activities for families. Head to the top of Grafenberg mountain, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the spectacular views of Wagrain. A day filled with fun, exploration, and adventure. To access these activities, take the Grafenbergbahn lift, with free parking available in front. It’s a 6-person gondola with space for strollers. Woom Bike Area
A newly opened paradise for young mountain bikers. Located at the mid-station of the Flying Mozart lift, the 5,900 m² area features trails, obstacles, and drops for all skill levels, including a beginner zone. Parents and grandparents can relax in a chill area while keeping an eye on the kids.
Bring your own bike or rent one (photo ID required).

Waggerl Museum
Dive into Austrian culture and history by visiting the home of renowned Austrian poet Karl Heinrich Waggerl. The museum offers a glimpse into his literary journey and showcases his most famous works, such as “Brot” (“Bread”), “Schweres Blut” (“Heavy Blood”), and “Mütter” (“Mothers”).

Liechtensteinklamm: Located about 20 minutes from Wagrain, this natural wonder is one of the longest gorges in the Alps, featuring waterfalls, a spiral staircase, and more. Swimming Lakes Winklersee & Reitecksee:
Winklersee is ideal for enjoying Austria’s stunning nature, located just 15 minutes from Wagrain. The crystal-clear lake offers free access, a beach volleyball court, a pirate ship-themed playground for children, and adventure courses with high ropes over the water. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are also available for rent. When hunger strikes, visit the Seestüberl restaurant.
Winklersee is wheelchair accessible with toilets and changing rooms.
Another recommended swimming lake is Reitecksee in Flachau, often less crowded. This lake features a central fountain, a playground, and a kiosk.

Eisriesenwelt
Visit the world’s largest ice cave, Eisriesenwelt, located in Werfen. Stretching over 40 kilometers, the cave maintains a constant temperature of 0°C, so bring warm clothing and sturdy shoes!
