Sonnenwende is designed for comfort and functionality! The welcoming apartments set the stage for delightful gatherings and memorable moments with family or friends. The stylish apartments at Sonnenwende all feature beautiful views and are tastefully decorated with everything you need for a fantastic holiday in Austria.
Sonnenwende has 27 apartments that can accommodate 2 to 10 people. Each apartment features a well-equipped kitchen, a living room, and a bathroom.
A starter pack including a small amount of toilet paper, dish towels, a cleaning cloth, and 2 dishwasher tablets is provided. A set of towels and bedding per person is also always included in the price.
The building also features an elevator.
Additional Options for Your Stay in Bad Gastein
If you have a baby or a small child with you, we can ensure that a crib and high chair are ready upon arrival. The prices are 10 € per unit.
Need more towels? It is also possible to purchase extra towels at the destination.
Plan Your Arrival and Departure: Everything You Need to Know
Before your arrival, remember to register with your destination’s local municipality and pay the tourist tax (kurtax). It is your responsibility to register yourself and all traveling companions, as we are not allowed to share your information with the local authority. We have made the process as simple as possible, so we will send you a link where you must fill out a form.
Arrival is from 4 PM, where you can pick up your keys and useful information in a key box. You will be sent a code for the key box and the main door.
When you leave, the apartment must be reset before checkout at 9:30 AM. This means that the refrigerator must be empty, trash must be disposed of, the dishwasher started if you have used dishes before your departure, and keys must be returned to the key box.
Before you go on holiday, you will also receive detailed information about arrival and departure, so you can start your vacation stress-free.
Parking at Sonnenwende
There is free parking at the house.
If you arrive in an electric car, it is possible to charge the car 200 meters from the apartment at a public parking lot near the lift. There are also several other charging stations in the town.
Always remember to use winter tires and snow chains when driving to Austria in winter.
Tourist Tax in Austria: What You Need to Pay
In Austria, you must pay a tourist tax to the local municipality when you travel to Austria as a guest. It is mandatory and applies to persons over 15 years old. The tourist tax (or kurtax) varies from destination to destination and is calculated per person per night. You will receive a link from us where you need to register yourself and all your traveling companions.
Benefits of the Guest Card in Bad Gastein: Save on Attractions and Activities
All guests who have filled out the tourist tax form before check-in will receive a free Gastein Card (guest card) sent as a QR code by email. The guest card provides free access to or discounts on many activities in the Gastein Valley, so you can definitely find a great deal.
Some of the highlights with the guest card include discounts on Gastein’s thermal baths and free guided hiking or mountain biking tours.
