Haus Wasmer enjoys an excellent location in the heart of Bad Hofgastein’s center, where guests can easily reach cozy restaurants, shops, and summer activities. Just a short walk from Haus Wasmer is the AlpenTherme, a perfect place to relax after a day full of activities in the fresh alpine air.

Only 300 meters from the house is the starting point for several hiking trails leading into the surrounding mountains, where you can enjoy breathtaking views and fresh mountain air. For families with children, there is also plenty to do; the nearby child-friendly Angertal region offers a range of outdoor activities tailored for younger adventurers. The bus to Angertal departs just 200 meters from Haus Wasmer, making it easy to plan a day trip.

Haus Wasmer is a charming, renovated property located in the heart of Austria, exuding classic Austrian charm and hospitality. This cozy accommodation offers an authentic experience, combining traditional architecture with modern amenities. Haus Wasmer consists of three spacious apartments designed to meet different needs and group sizes. The first apartment comfortably accommodates up to 10 people, the second apartment has a capacity for 11 people, and the third and largest apartment can house up to 13 people. Haus Wasmer is the ideal choice for families, large groups, or friends who want to experience the best of Austrian culture and nature in an authentic and comfortable setting.

All holiday accommodations have fully equipped kitchens and a starter pack with a small amount of toilet paper, tea towels, a dishcloth, and 2 dishwasher tablets. A set of towels and bed linen per person is always included in the price.

Optional Extras for Your Stay in Bad Hofgastein

If you have a baby or a small child with you, we can ensure there is a crib and a high chair ready upon arrival. The prices are €10 per unit.

Plan Your Arrival and Departure: Everything You Need to Know

Before your arrival, remember to register with the local municipality and pay the tourist tax. It is your responsibility to register yourself and all fellow travelers, as we are not allowed to share your information with the local authority. We have, of course, made the process as simple as possible, and we will send you a link where you need to fill out a form.

Arrival is from 4 PM, where you can collect your keys and useful information from a key box. You will be sent a code for the key box and the front door.

When it’s time to go home, the apartment must be reset before check-out at 9:30 AM. This means the refrigerator must be empty, trash must be taken out, the dishwasher must be started if you have used dishes before departure, and the keys must be returned to the key box.

Before you go on vacation, you will also receive detailed information about arrival and departure so you can go on holiday stress-free.

Parking at Haus Wasmer

There is free parking at the house.

If you are arriving in an electric car, it is possible to charge the car 200 meters from the apartment in a public parking lot near the lift. There are also several other charging stations in town.

Tourist Tax in Austria: What You Need to Pay

In Austria, you must pay a tourist tax to the local municipality when traveling to Austria as a guest. It is mandatory and applies to people over 15 years old. The tourist tax (or Kurtax) varies from destination to destination and is calculated per person per night. You will receive a link from us where you need to register yourself and all your fellow travelers.

All guests who have filled out the tourist tax form before check-in will receive a free Gastein Card (guest card) sent as a QR code by email. The guest card provides free access or discounts to many activities in the Gastein Valley, so you will certainly find a good deal.
