THE CITY

Bad Gastein itself is a very hilly town, built up of a rock wall and has many beautiful buildings that together create a cozy and charming atmosphere. Bad Gastein was formerly known as an exclusive spa town. You can visit Felsentherme, where you can bathe in hot mineral-containing water, directly from the underground sources, or try one of the many saunas.

There is many opportunities in Bad Gastein. If you want to go shopping, a big recommendation would be Gastein Valley. You have an entire valley to go around looking at the different stores. A tip would be to go here in the evening, why the stores is open until 10pm. Also, who wants to shop during a hot and sunny day?
