From Copenhagen to Salzburgerland is about 1200 km, and the drive takes approximately 13 hours, depending on traffic. Austria is thus a real self-drive gem due to the short travel time.

Get There Quickly by Plane: The fastest way to get to Austria is by plane. Salzburg Airport is the closest to most of our destinations, which are located in Salzburgerland. The transfer time to Wagrain is only 1 hour. You can also fly to Innsbruck Airport if your holiday is going to Fieberbrunn, which is located in Tyrol. The larger airports such as Munich and Vienna are also options for flying to our destinations, with train connections available.

Take the Train for an Eco-Friendly Journey: Hop on the train and travel in a relaxing way, with a clear conscience towards the environment. There are several options for taking the train to Austria.

You can also visit the world’s largest ice cave, Eisriesenwelt (https://www.eisriesenwelt.at/en/), located in the town of Werfen. The ice cave stretches over 40 kilometers and is situated up in the mountains. Therefore, you must take a gondola lift up – it takes 3 minutes.
The ice cave has a constant temperature of around 0 degrees, so remember to bring warm clothing and good shoes!
The nature in Austria also offers several waterfalls, with one of the most popular being Gollinger Wasserfall.
