Bike tours:
Feeling the wind in your hair while climbing mountainsides on a bike is a very special experience. When you reach the top, you are rewarded with a magnificent view from over 2000 meters down over the valley. You can explore Bad Gastein and the rest of the valley by mountain bike along the many marked cycle routes that vary in length, elevation, and degree of difficulty. If you don’t prefer to cycle on your own, you can also take part in cycle training, go on a guided cycle tour, or take the mountain bike with you on the lift in the summer and enjoy an easier ride on top of the mountain.
If you don’t have the opportunity to bring your bike, there is plenty of opportunity to rent one. There is nothing that should hold you back from experiencing Bad Gastein on two wheels.

Climbing:
If you’re looking for more of a challenge than a hike, test your coordination skills on a rock climb. In the neighboring town of Bad Hofgastein, near the Schlossalm, you can feel like a mountain goat on the rock face as you navigate through six roped climbing routes of varying difficulty. There is sure to be a route to suit your level so you can feel the cold rock under your palms. In the Klettergarten, located in the middle of Bad Gastein next to the Silver Bullet Bar, you can start with professional training on a smaller mountain wall before heading out on the climbing trails on your own.

Golf:
In the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, you will find an 18-hole golf course, Golfclub Gastein, which offers a unique experience for golf enthusiasts. The course is surrounded by impressive mountains and breathtaking views that can make it difficult to stay focused on the game! Should the weather not be on your side, it is possible to play indoors in the newly established golf centre. Here you can refine your technique and analyze your game with video recordings in the Creative Golf 3D Simulator. For a fun family activity, you can also play classic miniature golf in Bad Gastein, which allows golfers of all levels to participate.
